Commitment I aspire to enhance the quality of your shopping experience at sophiesbazaar.com. All my photos are taken in natural light for best accuracy in colors and details. I try to show all different angles of the items so there are no surprises. If a vintage rug is damaged on a photo, it will be repaired before delivery by a professional weaver.
I do not make overstated claims nor promises I will not be able to keep.
All prices on the website are quoted in United States Dollars and include tax and shipping.
Products can be purchased through a secure checkout and payment system on my site. After you enter your shipping and billing addresses and then submit your order, you will receive an automated email informing you that I have received your order. You will then be given a tracking number so you can follow your item on the Web until it reaches you.
PayPal payments and all major credit cards are accepted.
I currently ship worldwide for free. I ship via UPS, FedEx and DHL and deliveries are usually made within 4 to 6 business days to all locations in USA and Europe, and in 5-7 days to Australia, New Zealand and most of Asia, Latin America and Africa. If there is a shipping delay caused by time of restoration, you will be informed within 24 hours of your purchase. All items are fully insured against damage and loss.
Please be informed that we cannot ship to PO Box addresses.
Return & Cancellation Policy
You may cancel, add and take out items from your order until I ship your package which usually occurs within 24 hours.
If you decide to return an item, please send me an e-mail within 3 days of item's arrival to obtain return information. Items are to be returned in the same condition as sold with no damage or alterations.
In case of a return, shipping costs both ways are the buyer's responsibility. As soon as I receive the package, the item price will be refunded to you via your original method of payment.
There are no returns possible on rugs and kilim rugs. Unfortunately, large pieces are very expensive and difficult to deal with when returned. For this reason, I can no longer accept returns on rugs. So please, look at the photos carefully and convo me with all your questions prior to your purchase.
If your order shows damage when you receive the shipment, please open it in the presence of the delivery staff and bring it to their attention when signing for the item. If possible, please try to obtain a photograph of the damaged package. Contact us immediately and retain all packaging materials.
Return & Cancellation Policy for Custom Rug Orders
I charge 50% of the total amount when we start the production and charge the rest after I send you a picture of the finished rug and have your approval on it. If you do not like the result, I then charge back to your credit card. I do not accept returns for custom rugs after they are shipped.
Credit Card Fraud Warranty
I guarantee that every online transaction you make will be 100% safe. This means you pay nothing if unauthorized charges are made to your card as a result of shopping at my online store. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges. In the event of unauthorized use of your credit card, you must notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.
VAT and Custom Duties
VAT (value added tax) and customs duties (if any) differ for each country. Most countries, except USA, are subject to VAT (value added tax) and custom duties which are the responsibility of the recipient. Since rates vary by country and by what was ordered, I am not able to supply an estimated cost. Customers ordering from European countries are exempt from custom charges, however they might be billed for VAT by UPS FedEx or DHL.
